FAQ's

Q. Does having a search engine friendly website really matter?
A. Yes in a word - because most new customers will get to your website first time as a result of searching on something like Google.
Q. I have a suspicion that most if not all our competitors websites are no better than ours so why bother?
A. Precisely because they have under performing websites means you can gain an advantage.
Q. What if we do not have time?
A. Fair point - but the Website-Doctors approach is such that your investment in time could be as little as an hour or two spread over the course of a couple of weeks.
Q. What if we do not have any budget?
A. Most businesses spend more on generating new sales than they care to admit but when someone finds your website on the internet it is because they are looking to buy - they are trying to search you out - so if your website does not come up in search engines - fewer buyers are going to find your site and therefore you are not going to get as many sales.
Consider reviewing your Newspaper spending, your direct sales force efforts. 10 years ago the internet barely existed today it dominates the world.
Q. I am interested, but not right now?
A. It is necessary to plan ahead with getting your site listed on search engines it can be as quick as a few days but more often it can take sometime if you have no listing - a good start can often be made quite quickly with maybe a follow-up session(s) at a later date.
Q. I am part of a large organisation which offers a website service to members but I need some help getting organised... can the you help?
A. Yes, the Website-Doctor is very flexible by all means start off with a small project.
Q. I have checked and we are already coming up well on Search Engines - interestingly some sites do come up well - but...
A. When you look underneath the surface you find a number of practises which are frowned upon and risk getting your site kicked out of some search engines altogether - if you did not know your competitors can report sites to Search Engine Administrators - (humans) and if a site is stuffed with duplicate pages all with the same text then there is a high chance that you will suffer your site being de-listed. If you would like to see such a site ring and I will provide a URL for your review.
Q. We want to keep our website development in-house, but we are interested?
A. No problem, it is not necessary for the Website-Doctor to take over the running of your website - we can work with you and your colleagues if you prefer to work on that basis.
Q. If the Website-Doctor develops a site can we take it over?
A. Yes, if once the site is on track and is up and running you are welcome to take over the running of your site - the Doctor's approach is to act as a colleague - an extra pair of hands.
Q. Do you offer training?
A. See the question above as part of the handover the Website-Doctor can provide training.
Q. Can the Website-Doctor update our site on a regular basis?
A. Yes, that is an option which we are happy to provide.
Q. We have a website which we started but we have just run out of steam can you help?
A. Yes, subject to either having the details to access the website (user name and password) or transfer the domain to the Website-Doctors control - and then we will get your site up and running.
Q. We registered a domain years ago - it seemed like a good idea at the time but we have not done anything with it, can you help?
A. Yes, please enquire and we will supply clear concise instructions on how to do this and then the Website-Doctor can build your website.
Q. Our website use to come up well in Google but no longer wants happened?
A. The Google algorithm which determines results is not fixed in stone the team at Google are constantly reviewing and updating it consequently it is necessary to keep abreast of best practice - which is where using the Website-Doctor can help out.
